We keep the process simple: understand your situation, choose the right plan, then cook and deliver every week so meals stop being a daily crisis.

Care & Diet Consultation

We start by understanding what’s really happening at the table — not just what’s on the plate.

In your Care & Diet Consultation, we’ll talk through:

Your loved one’s health situation (dementia, cancer, chronic illness, mobility challenges, etc.).

Current eating patterns: skipped meals, erratic appetite, “only comfort food,” or refusal to eat.

Any religious or ethical dietary rules (Orthodox fasts, plant-based periods, kosher-style constraints, etc.).

Your schedule, kitchen setup, and how much you want to cook vs. simply heat and serve.

This conversation gives us a clear picture of what your family is dealing with, so we can recommend a plan that fits both your loved one’s needs and your capacity.

Choose the weekly plan that fits your family

Every family’s situation is different. We’ve “put it in a box” with three clear options so you know exactly what you’re getting.

Package 1

Weekly Care Menu

Best for most families who want reliable, health-conscious meals every week without complex dietary rules.

  • Weekly menu from a rotating seasonal cycle (mostly non-Lenten/“regular” with vegetarian/plant-based options).
  • Same menu structure for all Package 1 clients that week, with minor swaps as needed.
  • Delivered once per week, with clear reheating or finishing instructions.

Package 2

Tailored Health & Faith Plan

Best for families with complex medical or religious requirements — where details matter and generic meal plans fall short.

  • Custom menu design and more detailed intake.
  • Lenten/vegan cycles, specific oils (olive, avocado, tallow, lard), Celtic salt, low-sodium, diabetic-friendly options, etc.
  • Weekly delivery tailored to your loved one’s care plan and beliefs.

Package 3

Private Chef / Personal Menu Day

Best for professionals or VIP households who want a dedicated private chef experience, either on-site or off-site.

  • “Your menu only” cooking for specific days.
  • On-site or off-site, 1x per week or ad hoc.
  • Very limited slots, used as a premium upsell, not the core of the business.

Weekly cooking, delivery, and thoughtful adjustments

Once your plan is set, we move into a steady weekly rhythm so food stops being a recurring emergency.

Each week typically looks like this:

Over time, this repetition is what makes the difference — we learn what your loved one consistently eats, what they refuse, and how their health and preferences evolve, then adjust accordingly.

Subscriptions, billing, and boundaries

Drive By Gourmet is built as a weekly subscription service with monthly billing, not a one-off catering company.

How billing works

Weekly service fee + separate grocery costs

We keep your invoice transparent: one part pays for the cooking, packing, delivery, and time; the other covers the actual groceries.

Monthly invoicing

Instead of constant small bills, you receive a single monthly invoice summarizing service and grocery costs — easier for everyone to manage.

Private-pay only

We do not bill insurance. This lets us stay focused on what your family actually needs, without the delays and bureaucracy of insurance approvals.

Skipping weeks and making changes

No “on this week, off next week” games

Your subscription holds a spot in our cooking schedule. Constant on/off is hard on both sides, so we don’t structure our service that way.

Rare, pre-defined exceptions

For major events (e.g., large family feasts with lots of leftovers), we can skip a week with at least 2 weeks’ advance notice, then pick up your regular schedule.

Adjustments welcome

If appetite, health, or preferences change, we adjust the menu. The subscription gives us the stability to do that thoughtfully

What your first month looks like

Week 1 – Consult & first menu

We complete your Care & Diet Consultation, finalize your plan, and deliver your first week of meals. This week is about establishing routines and seeing how your loved one responds.


Week 2 – Early adjustments

Based on what was eaten and how things went, we tweak portion sizes, textures, flavors, and timing.


Week 3 – Settling into rhythm

You start to feel the relief of not having to plan or cook every meal. We refine details and address any new health or appetite changes.


Week 4 – A stable groove

By the end of the first month, you have a predictable rhythm: menus, delivery day, heating, and invoicing all feel familiar and manageable.
